As has often been the case, we do not update much on weekends. However, I just wanted to point out that the Bucs offense, which SmizBlog pointed out as #1 in June has scored 4 runs in the last 30 innings.
I’m referencing the article in the Trib this morning and it looks as if DJ is making a big splash. I’m afraid I’m not buying it DJ. Huntington has to go. No need to go into the plus and minus of the moves DJ – he simply is not getting the job done. With all of his (Huntington) trades you would think we would not have to go dumpster diving to find a backup catcher. You would think the minors would be loaded with talent from the fleecing he did in trading away veterans for such a large group of “talented prospects”. We have no answer at SS or any resemblance of a power hitter in the minors. What happened Neal?
And a side note – can someone please convey to McCuthen the concept of hitting the cutoff man?
